Test Management Specialist

Primary Function: Responsible for administering online course computer-based test proctoring program.  Assists with scheduling, preparing and administering tests; provides excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.  Performs clerical functions including answering phones and responding to emails.  Completes special projects assigned to include benchmarking with other institutions, marketing initiatives, and researching credit awarding test opportunities.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Administers online course computer-based test proctoring program

  • Assists instructors with the procedures for computer-based test proctoring.
  • Communicates and answers questions with online students concerning the procedure.
  • Assists students experiencing difficulties with proctor arrangements.
  • Provides support to ADA students requiring accommodations for testing.
  • Tracks student information and test data.

 

Schedules, prepares, and administers tests

  • Administers the University’s national and institutional test batteries.
  • Coordinates test registrations and processes payments.
  • Processes and arranges make-up tests.

 

Clerical responsibility                                                                                              

  • Maintains proficiency and required training and certifications as a test proctor.
  • Performs routine functions such as answering phones, responding to emails, record keeping, and filing.
  • Writes, revises, and proof reads articles, emails, and informational pamphlets for projects and team members.
  • Annotates customer contacts in the call-tracker database.
  • Orders office supplies.

 

Special Projects

  • Conducts benchmarking with other institutions.
  • Assists with the development of marketing initiatives.
  • Participates in efforts to continually improve the student testing experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior testing and or College/University experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills is required.
  • Must have the ability to effectively work with faculty, administration, staff and students in a collegial and multicultural environment.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accurate work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the internet are required.
  • Maturity of judgment under pressure and the ability to identify and resolve problems without delay.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, but as part of a team effort.
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality of student records and test contents in accordance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
  • Dependability that can be assessed through regular attendance and through achievement of established requirements.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Incumbent would work in a typical office environment.
