FCSAmerica is seeking a Consumer Lending Officer (CLO) specializing in purchase, refinance, construction loans and all consumer loans for our organization. Responsible for marketing the consumer lending product and building strong working relationships with business contacts. Provide knowledge of the consumer marketplace, available products and finance to fully understand the applicant(s) current and future needs and financial position to present the options that best meet their needs. You will be responsible for originating credit to his/her customers by assessing the request and obtaining business and financial information needed to determine the viability and profitability of the deal. You will be asked to lead the customer relationship and often coordinate with others to serve the customers loan, lease, crop insurance and servicing needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

SALES and RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Develop and maintain a professional presence and use effective sales and relational strategies to increase the Associations consumer market share in the assigned territory. This includes:

• Engagement in brand management throughout the assigned territory to support sales goals.
• Determine and define the appropriate customer interaction and coordinate the appropriate support resources that may directly or indirectly provide service to the applicant(s). Effectively communicate to the applicant(s) and to appropriate team members regarding the request.
• Introduce applicant(s) to teammate(s) who will support the process.
• Actively engage with support team members including daily processing and servicing of credit and participating in training, development and relationship building activities.

DELIVER SOUND CREDIT: In support of originating credit requests, the officer will:

• Gather and document customer financial information and application details, in compliance with consumer lending requirements and in coordination with appropriate team members.
• Assist customer in preparing accurate list of assets and liabilities to establish current balance sheet as needed.
• Coach and counsel customers to meet future financial goals.

SERVICE PORTFOLIO: Provide the following on-going service and support:

• Provide oversight and monitoring of construction projects; coach and counsel when cost overruns apply.
• Review property inspections according to procedures.

Travel Time

Percentage of time required to travel during the day - 50%
Percentage of time required to travel overnight - 15%

Education Requirements

4 Year / Bachelors Degree Preferred inReal Estate, Business, Finance or Economics

2 + years of experience, Real Estate, Business, or Finance
