SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position will work as part of the human trafficking team working in close collaboration with the domestic violence sexual assault program service team. The lead case manager will assist in overseeing operations of the crisis stabilization shelter programming.  They will provide services designed to meet needs related to immediate safety, trauma recovery, and on-going support for survivors of human trafficking. This position combines direct care and administrative duties to support both the program coordinator and program director.

Compensation: between $21.79 and $25.98 per hour (wage is based on total years of experience)
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 12p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a choice of one weekend day and the remainder through the week

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • One-year experience in a 24-hour care setting OR three years’ experience working in social service or related field
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • *Assist program coordinator/director with quality improvement reports or other reports as necessary.
  • *Maintain a small caseload of clients to assist with shelter client capacity.
  • Assists Program Coordinator with coverage as needed for program staffing.
  • *Assists with Ensuring 24/7 coverage of crisis stabilization shelter
  • *Assist with service delivery and project implementation throughout the program.
  • *Provides problem solving and crisis intervention services to empower clients and case managers to develop self-sufficiency.
  • *Assists program coordinator and program director with implementing learning and development opportunities for Sanctuary House staff and clients.
  • *Attend community meetings for the coordination of services for survivors of human trafficking.
  • *Supports facilitator and/or facilitates educational groups scheduled within the Sanctuary House.
  • *Demonstrates knowledge of current community and HFS programs and resources to meet client needs, including providing connections to: mainstream benefits, income support services and other on-going community-based supports.
  • *Assist program participants with critical skills related to household budgeting, credit counseling, household management, activities of daily living, personal safety, navigating access to community resources, employment support, and interpersonal communication.
  • *Models continual learning and growth, which requires tolerance for ambiguity and a willingness to seek and accept feedback from others about the best performance and practices.
  • *Develops, maintains and updates community resource listing for Sanctuary House clients.
  • *Participate in weekly team meetings with HFS program staff.
  • *Utilizes trauma-informed care, person centered, harm reduction, housing first, and culturally competent principles in providing services to clients.
  • Is able to work both independently, with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all required paperwork and data entry per agency policies and funding guidelines and within prescribed timelines.
  • Provide client transportation in personal and agency vehicles.
  • Abides by all specific program and agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Able to evaluate program services and make recommendations.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • *Create, maintain and share as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • * Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • *Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
  • Ensures program and agency compliance standards are being met.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external consumers to ensure client needs are met.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
