Quality Control (QC) Support Specialist

We have a career opportunity for a QC Support Specialist. This position will be responsible for supporting American Laboratories’ (ALI) Quality laboratories by assisting with various testing procedures. The QC Support Specialist will interact with different levels of management and personnel within each ALI department.

This position will be located at 5036 South 33rd Street in Omaha, working with different management levels and support personnel in other office locations.

The impact you will have:

• Receiving and logging in samples to both Quality Control laboratories
• Assisting with the Stability and Reserve Programs
• Provide support for Quality Systems records for the Chemistry and Microbiological Laboratories
• Assist in the documentation process for both Quality Control laboratories, including reviewing and reporting results
• Perform investigations for Microbiology and Chemistry laboratory OOS and deviation events as required
• Perform Microbiology testing as necessary
• Provide technical support to quality and other departments as required
• As the workload demand changes for the department, additional responsibilities may be required

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science related field or appropriate combination of education, experience and training
• Two (2) years’ experience in chemistry and/or microbiological laboratories
• Experience in a pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment, preferred
• Experience with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and US-FDA Q7A, preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and flexibility to handle changing priorities and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required including the ability to organize information and effectively present it to and engage with peers, customers, and members of Senior Management
