This role is responsible for the retention, profitability, and growth of existing business within the BCBSNE customer base via review of services, capabilities, technologies, and new products. This position will be integrated into one company account management team that will partner with external clients to provide mutually beneficial solutions to their business challenges by selling and promoting products and services.
What you'll do:
- Responsible for retention, profitability, and growth of existing business within BCBSNE customer base via review of services, capabilities, technologies, and new products (e.g. provide education on products/programs, discuss, and promote integrated solutions, connect via regular external meetings, etc.).
- Act as a partner and manage relationships at senior level with clients, consultants, and brokers/producers by creating valued business partnership, demonstrating business acumen, and cultivating an active professional network.
- Sell and promote any of our preferred stop-loss solutions/partners and quote and promote optional programs and ancillary offerings.
- Provide analysis and deliver data for group discussions/reviews which may include snapshot, quarterly, or annual reports to support external business partners.
- Conduct routine service calls and function as a primary group contact for strategic planning and consultation. Support customers during the implementation of contracts, renewal of contracts, and throughout the relationship.
- As needed, advocate for escalated resolutions if service issues arise, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Seek to understand key elements of a clientâ??s business environment to help them solve unique business challenges and maintain ongoing plan/strategies.
- Participate in internal â??one account management teamâ? activities, which may include meetings, health fairs, lunches, or happy hours to support clients as a cohesive department.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Bachelorâ??s degree in a related field and two (2) yearsâ?? experience in sales, customer service or account management.
- Current State of Nebraska Department of Insurance license in life and health, or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
- Related industry experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
