Creighton University School of Law is seeking a non-tenured clinical professor/staff attorney position who will direct the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic (IELC) serving the North and South Omaha communities. This position is fully grant funded and will be a yearly contract that will be renewable during the term of the grant. Workshops, informational meetings and possibly pro bono opportunities will be created and offered to attract student interest in the clinic, creating a pipeline for enrollment. The clinical professor/staff attorney along with the Dean and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will continuously assess the program and its outcomes. The successful candidate will oversee the Clinic in all aspects. The live-client experiential learning experience will be divided into a course component and a clinical component that is designed to teach students the skills, procedures and substantive knowledge necessary to provide ethical, effective and holistic non-litigation legal representation to new and expanding businesses.

Qualifications

* J.D. or equivalent terminal degree

* Licensed to practice in Nebraska or eligible for prompt admission to the Bar

* Demonstrated experience supporting entrepreneurs and business start ups including forming and choosing entities, adding employees, protecting intellectual property rights, financing, and basic accounting.

* A strong academic profile

* Show significant promise as a teacher
