The Department of Physics at Creighton University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Resident Assistant Professor for a one-year appointment. We seek individuals with effective communication skills who are committed to being outstanding teacher within a primarily undergraduate-serving college. The successful applicant will teach a 4-4 load that includes 1^st year foundational courses in General Physics as well as upper division courses depending on departmental needs.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in physics (or a closely related field) is preferred, ABD will be considered
Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others
Familiarity with modern teaching strategies developed by Physics Education Research; evidence of college level teaching experience is preferred
