Position Summary | Conduct clinical trials and neuroscience-based research projects for psychiatric patients and healthy population, to investigate the neurobiological mechanism of various psychopathologies and the target engagement by various intervention modalities. Clinical study design, neuroimaging study design, data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of data for the current and future projects. Each study project will be conducted by the thorough understanding of the current scientific literature in the diverse disciplines. Required to have an understanding of neuroscience and strong motivation to harness knowledge of human brain disorders. Training and experience in neuroimaging (especially functional MRI and MEG) is strongly preferred. Will do collaborative work in a team-oriented environment, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives and preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. Providing training and supervision of the current and future research assistants/associates and clinical research coordinator. Troubleshoot problems in experiments rigorously with other members of the lab, including the principal investigator, Soonjo Hwang, M.D. Administrative support and documentation for intramural and extramural agencies, including UNMC IRB, NIH, and FDA. Under Dr. Soonjo Hwang’s supervision, grant and award preparation and application will be conducted. |
