Medical Assistant - Primary Care Diabetes Education, WashMO

Full-Time, Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Based in Washington/Four Rivers community, travel to different clinics in the Washington and St. Louis, MO area.

Overview:

• The MA will handles patient phone calls, providing triaging, instruction and appropriate follow-up, maintain exam rooms, supplies, equipment and medications.
• Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing patient care to clinic patients under the supervision of physicians/nurse practitioner and the leader.

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant:

• • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office. Diabetes experience preferred.

Certified Medical Assistant:

• • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA; EMT and Paramedic also accepted). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
