Psychiatry - Child/Adolescent Physician

Our client, a community hospital serving a culturally diverse area of New York City, is hiring a Psychiatrist, Medical Director of the Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Services (CAOPD). The Outpatient Services include the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic, School Based Mental Health Programs, Child Crisis Intervention Services, Pediatric Emergency/Crisis Consultation Service and an opportunity to participate in new initiatives including Transition Aged Youth Program and Caring Transition Services.

Responsibilities:

• The administration, planning, organization and overall general management of the Child and Adolescent Services
• Join the Medical leadership team of Behavioral Health
• Participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings
• Report to the Chief of Behavioral Health Ambulatory Care Services and the Chief of Psychiatry
• Schedule: full-time

Requirements:

• MD/DO degree
• Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
• Valid New York State License
• DEA and Medicaid number
• Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior management/leadership positions
• Experience with academic medical center and/or public health systems is preferred.
