Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and maintenance of our Azure cloud infrastructure and database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, database management, and healthcare IT security, along with proven experience in team leadership and operational excellence. This role also involves client-facing responsibilities, including pre-sales support and customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesAzure Cloud Management: - Oversee the administration and optimization of Azure infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Manage configuration, deployment, and monitoring of Azure services (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking, security).
- Implement and maintain best practices for cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery, collaborating with third-party hosting partners.
- Troubleshoot Azure-related incidents to ensure high availability and performance.
- Communicate application defects and performance issues to internal R&D teams.
Database Management & Maintenance: - Manage daily operations of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases in Azure environments.
- Oversee database backups, restores, performance tuning, and data security.
- Develop and implement migration, integration, and upgrade strategies.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and performance, proactively addressing risks.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: - Foster a collaborative environment for cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with DevOps, application development, and security teams to align technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to define technology roadmaps, budgeting, and project priorities.
- Provide regular updates and reports on Azure infrastructure, database performance, and cost analysis.
- Support additional IT responsibilities, including local troubleshooting and HL7 Rhapsody engine installation (training provided).
Security & Compliance: - Ensure all cloud and database operations adhere to industry regulations and organizational policies.
- Implement and enforce best practices for data protection, encryption, and access management.
QualificationsEducation & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure or healthcare IT systems.
- 5+ years of experience in database management (SQL, NoSQL) with a focus on performance optimization, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Proven technical leadership experience.
Technical Skills: - Expertise in Azure services, including ARM, Virtual Machines, Networking, and Azure SQL.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and management.
- Solid knowledge of IT security principles, network security, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates).
- Familiarity with DevOps and FinOps best practices.
Preferred Certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
