This position offers a Monday through Fridayschedule, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call, holiday, or weekendresponsibilities. This opportunity provides a focused work environment with anexcellent work-life balance.
As a LocumsRadiation Oncology Physician, you will be responsible for a range of criticalduties, including conducting patient evaluations, simulations, and dosimetrytreatment planning. You will prescribe radiation therapy and ensure theaccurate delivery of treatments by checking daily images to verify alignment.Weekly assessments for patients undergoing treatment and post-treatmentfollow-up care will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will overseecompliance during procedures such as stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), manageexternal beam treatments, conduct on-treatment visits (OTVs), and provideoccasional consultations and follow-ups.
The positioninvolves overseeing approximately 25-30 patients under treatment daily acrosstwo clinic locations. The patient population will require procedures such asexternal beam treatments, OTVs, and follow-ups.
Qualifications: - MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Radiation Oncology.
- Active and unrestricted Illinois medical license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
- Previous experience in managing external beam treatments and supervising radiation oncology proce
